The New House

Sok Sabay’s New House is located in a quiet central area of Phnom Penh. It is a newly build house, with dormitories for the children, a pharmacy, a large area on the rooftop for sports practice and a large garden with fruit trees.

In a second rental building situated opposite of the new house, we have the boys dormitories, the administration quarters composed of two offices; as well as a meeting room, a computer class and storerooms.

Freedom to Grow

The New House has a wonderfully positive atmosphere and the children experience the freedom to grow and develop a sense of confidence and individuality. Each child has both privacy and a sense of community. Under the guidance of qualified teachers and volunteers, the children learn a variety of practical and academic skills including English & French languages, Art, Khmer traditional dance, Tae-kwon-do and computer skills to name a few.

By the time the children leave Sok Sabay, they are in control of their lives and can act as role models to others who are being denied their basic human rights, giving others hope as well.
